I took some time to have a proper look around the Imperial War Museum North over the weekend. I’ve been for a walk around Salford Quays and MediaCity before but wanted to focus on the museum. Unfortunately, the weather was stereotypically Mancunian and overcast so I’ve mostly gone for a different approach from normal with an abstract, high-key feel for most of the shots. Designed by architect Daniel Libeskind, the museum stands out even amongst the rest of the bigger buildings around it.

Excellent tones. The muted mancunian weather works well against the stark angular building.
I do live your architectural shot, you make even cold concrete and glass feel so alive.
Good work mate, strong black and whites there.
Great work as always Mark, love the last one 🙂
Great shots! Some really bold, dynamic images there. Quite foreboding!
Excellent tones. The muted mancunian weather probably helped.
Love photographing Salford Quays. This set brings out the futuristic architecture of the museum. The angles give a sense of the unreal.
Nice work, fella – think I need to get down there and have a look
nice illustration of mancunian ambience
Lovely set, great feel to it
Brilliant work Mark!!! I’m back on my 2 feet now, so will sort out a photoshoot with you soon ::))) Andy
Lovely images. Nice one.
Fantastic stuff. Came across this whilst researching for my photography coursework- doing some analysis work on your work because it’s very similar to my theme!
Thanks a lot 🙂
