One from the archives – this is the arch at the top of Chinatown, just before the Chinese New Year celebrations.

Weather changes moods – Duke Street, Liverpool

Graffiti, Duke Street, Liverpool, HDR

The weather has been terrible for taking photos the past couple of weeks (snow aside) – mostly overcast and misty and as a consequence I’ve not been taking any photos, despite having bought a D90 recently.  So on Friday I went for a big walk – 3 hours and from one end of the city to the other.  I tried to make a conscious effort to avoid areas I’ve photographed heavily already so I found myself around the Chinatown/Duke Street area, which is an odd area of town as there’s a lot of new development and a lot of neglected areas within a short distance of each other.  There’s also lots of graffiti, as seen here.  I’ve seen this graffiti before here and at a few others places – I like how grungy this has come out.  More colourful stuff to follow as I’ve been doing far too much B&W stuff recently.
