One of the “pay per view” telescopes down at the Pier Head, overlooking the Irish ferries.  This is the best time of year to take photos as far as I’m concerned – not too cold that you can’t move your fingers to adjust your equipment (your camera equipment, that is), nice moody cloudy weather and the sun sets at a reasonable hour – I’ll take autumn over summer any day.

In other news, I noticed that it’s been two years since I started this photoblog (here’s the first shot, appropriately titled Funland) during which time photography has gone from a engaging hobby to an all consuming passion….time really does fly when you’re having fun!  Thank you to everybody who has taken the time to leave comments on here, flickr, Facebook etc – I always appreciate people taking the time to comment.  Hopefully I’ll fulfil my frequent promises to post more in the next couple of years….
