Autumn is without doubt my favourite time of the year (with Christmas close behind). Cold enough to need a fire in the pub but not that cold that you constantly fall over and the country grinds to a halt. Liverpool’s leafy Calderstone Park is right on my doorstep – it’s beautiful all year round but definitely at it’s best come autumn.

The walk to the park is quite nice too.
